In 2014 Elizabeth Gaskell’s former home, a Grade II listed property in Manchester, reopened to the public as a visitor attraction and centre for the community following a £2.5m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

We were delighted to win the pitch to come up with a striking new visual identity for the House. We developed a contemporary brand that reflects the legacy and history of the House as well as the relevance of Elizabeth Gaskell to this day.

From this initial branding work, we were also commissioned to design and create interactive installations that both suited the historic recreation of the House and were engaging for visitors.

A film we produced that was screened in one of the rooms in the house.

“Creative Concern created a flexible and effective brand for Elizabeth Gaskell’s House that has helped to establish the venue as a high quality city centre visitor attraction. Used across of a variety of print and online media, both externally and internally, the logos and illustrations have established a clear identity for our very unique historic house.”
