Creative Campaigns Lab
We have a new concept for charities and not for profits to help re-energise their campaigns and inject some new creative ideas into their communications and marketing in a collaborative, fast and genuinely enjoyable way.
At Creative Concern we create campaigns that deliver results and inspire audiences. We’ve taken this expertise to develop a new approach to creative campaign development, tailored to the needs of the sector. We know budgets are always tight and time is a scarce resource – this has been front of mind when we developed our Creative Campaigns Lab.
For us, a campaign could be about changing perceptions, shifting behaviours, recruiting more donors, kick-starting a new approach to fundraising, launching a new initiative or delivering a social media engagement plan. Put simply it’s about changing hearts and minds and linking this to your campaign objectives or metrics.
Here’s how it works
Step 1: Forensic Framework
We start with a half-day session at your premises (unless you’d prefer to come to us, you’d be very welcome). In this session, you work through our Forensic Framework. This is our own tailor-made framework, which we work through with you in an interactive, creative session to capture the brief and distil your challenge down to its essence. We also leave this session with any additional reading or evidence for our campaign strategy team to review.
Step 2: Digital Diagnostic
We take the thinking and intelligence from the Forensic Framework to develop a Digital Diagnostic. This is reviewed and completed online by your team. It's highly visual and fast to complete but will provide us with the visual and tone of voice insight to complement the intelligence we’ve already gathered.
Step 3: Creative Lab
Next up is the Creative Lab. This is where our campaign strategists work alongside designers, content creators and campaign visualisers to put together 3–5 creative campaign treatments that explore different approaches to answering your brief and re-invigorating your campaign. Here you see some fresh thinking and new solutions to communicating your message. The outputs of the Creative Lab are sent by email but are also made available as a digital presentation.
Step 4: Testing Loop
We firmly believe in the value of testing ideas and concepts on your target audience. For each project, we undertake an online focus group with ten panellists. We work with our research partners to recruit the testing panel based on the demographics of your ideal audience target. We want feedback from you too, so the Testing Loop is all about listening and learning from your team’s feedback and the results of the audience panel.
Step 5: Creative Ideas Pack
Now we put the final Creative Ideas Pack together based on the feedback. This may result in some of the options being improved, combined or replaced – it really depends on the feedback and panel results. But the end output is a Creative Ideas Pack of campaign concepts and a rationale for each to back them up.
Step 6: Future Forward
We finalise the delivery of the Creative Campaigns Lab with a page of recommendations based on our work and the feedback received. From this, we create a series of next steps and any guidance notes for your team for the future. We finish off with a wrap up meeting or conference call, with a chance for questions and a review of the project.
When can we start?
