Thackray Museum of Medicine

Thackray Museum of Medicine
Online exhibitions and launch films for the Thackray
film, engagement, website, research,

Thackray Museum of Medicine recenty underwent a huge transformation. With a whole new visitor experience, a new brand and a new tone of voice, we were invited to help bring some of the ideas to life in the build up to the museum opening. Working with the new brand, we created two microsites, Mothers in Lockdown and Health Heroes.

Our team also produced, shot and editited a short promotional film to showcase the new visitor experience at the Thackray, designed to be used on the main website and on social media, with short clips used for online adverts and social media.

Mothers in Lockdown

We developed an online presence and the social media assets for the Mothers in Lockdown project. The photographic portraits were part of a wider research project by the University of Huddersfield that explored the experience of working mothers at home during the pandemic.

The portraits of mothers working at home during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic were taken by photographer Fran Monk.  The website showcased the portraits and stories, along with sign-posting organisations who can provide support to women, children and families. You can also share your story of caring for children whilst working at home during lockdown. Find out more and see the final portraits on the website.

Thackray Health Heroes

A timely celebration of people, past and present, who have dedicated their lives to being life savers.

We developned a website and social media assests to celebrate and remember our health heroes of the past, as well as to encourage people to recognise the health heroes of today. People also shared their amazing stories on social media, some of which were featured on the site.
