Libraries Connected champion public libraries in the UK, empowering them to inspire, innovate, and enrich communities through dynamic services, collaboration, and advocacy.

We were commissioned to redesign and rebuild the Libraries Connected website, focusing on delivering a modern, user-friendly platform that embodies the organisation’s mission to champion public libraries across the UK. Our work included a refreshed digital brand identity paired with an intuitive navigation structure to enhance user experience. We also art-directed a series of photoshoots, curating a vibrant and authentic image library that highlights the diverse communities and inspiring spaces that libraries offer.

Beyond design, we worked closely with the client to make sure every aspect of the website met their needs. This included building a fully customisable website that allows them to edit images and text with ease, which ensures long-term flexibility. Together, we developed detailed sitemaps, wireframes, content maps, and user journeys – the website was thoughtfully structured to engage users while also aligning with Libraries Connected’s strategic goals.

"After working on our original branding and website several years ago, we invited Creative Concern back to build a new site that better represented the organisation we had become. It was a very smooth process; Kennedy and the team took the time to understand what we wanted to do with the site and what was important to our members. We’re delighted with the results and have had great feedback from members." – James Gray, Communications and Advocacy Manager
