One opportunity can change everything
We developed a messaging framework and refreshed visual brand using the concept of ‘Afrinancial’. The messaging emphasised the brand essence: One opportunity can change everything, highlighting the real-life impact of the charity’s support.
The process began with workshops with the Opportunity International team, including a small brand group. Our design and copy teams combined African and Asian patterns with the visual language of finance, creating repeat patterns, a vibrant colour palette, updated photography, typography, and a practical rollout framework for the messaging.
Our narrative development resulted in a new brand message statement, a series of brand lines, supporting impact copy, tone of voice guidance and a framework that gave structure and practical advice for their messaging rollout.
Afrinancial brings the visual language of African and Asian patterns and textiles together with the visual language of the financial world. The approach combines the organic nature of pattern making with the structure of financial reporting and symbolism. The design uses a vibrant colour palette, an updated approach to photography and typography to bring new energy and vibrancy to the brand.
The new brand and narrative have been rolled out across the organisation, helping Opportunity International communicate its impact more effectively and engage a broader range of supporters.
