Beryl Website

Beryl
A website to promote the joy and ease of city cycling
Film production, Responsive web design, wireframes

Beryl exists to make cycling as easy, safe and irresistibly fun as possible, for as wide a range of people as possible. 300,000 people already use their bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters and cargo bikes and they are increasingly winning city contracts across the UK and beyond.

Beryl were looking for a new website design and build that would reflect their ambition, communicate their brand tone of voice and would help promote their bike hire service offer and the use of their App. The current website didn’t work as an acquisition channel for new bikeshare users and didn't reflect the scale of the offer.

The new website had to appeal to two key audiences - the potential micromobility user and the potential micromobility business partner. A clear and intuitive navigation was critical to get the users to their end point quickly and efficiently.

The site also needed to be super efficient and intuitive on mobile for those accessing the site on the move and integrate seamlessly with their Mapbox mapping service to help users locate bikes and bays.

Our film team also produced a hero film for the homepage that gives a impactful overview of the Beryl offer, filmed on location in Norwich.

The website development process included user testing with current Beryl customers to explore the content structure and the effectiveness of the new design. Workshops with the project team identified a landing page strategy and defined the web user journeys. Our design discovery sessions were used to refine the use of the Beryl brand online.

We also worked in collaboration to produce the website content with a focus on a succinct, upbeat and friendly tone of voice.
