Lakes Culture was established in 2014 to unite the area’s tourism and culture sectors and better promote the wealth and quality of activities and events on offer. Ultimately, Lakes Culture wanted to position the Lake District as the leading rural culture attraction in the UK. 

In 2015, we were commissioned to design and develop a new blog-style website to promote the organisation’s distinctive brand. The website and supporting social media content plan and delivery also publicised Lakes Ignite 2015. 

Following the success of our work with Lakes Culture in 2015, we were invited to work on Lakes Ignite 2016. This time, we developed a toolkit of promotional materials, creating online and social media content and reaching new audiences through digital marketing. 

For 2017-18 we have been commissioned to work across digital, social media and PR.

Increased followers from 161 in March 2015 to 5600+ by end of September

Over 80,000 page views on

Over 6,000 links through from Twitter to the website
