The importance that Manchester Metropolitan University puts on sustainability is evident in so many ways across its different campuses, projects and commitments.

Creative Concern has worked with Manchester Met since 2008, helping the team to communicate all of its sustainability activities and initiatives. This has ranged from policy documents and reports, to energy saving campaigns and interpretation boards. It’s all about making the information beautiful and engaging, bringing facts and figures to life.

We have worked with the sustainability team on writing a number of awards applications for its sustainability initiatives across the university. We’re incredibly proud to have been involved in the applications where they were won the National and International Green Gowns Award for Continuous Improvement – Institutional Change (2012) and were highly commended in the categories of Sustainability Reporting (2016).

We have also worked with the MetMUnch team on its of awards applications. MetMUnch is a global award-winning, student-led social enterprise based at Manchester Metropolitan University, which was started back in 2011. At its heart is a passion for sustainable and nutritious food – and sharing that with students, staff, local businesses and communities. In 2014, the project won the National and International EAUC Green Gown Awards in Student Engagement, and was highly commended in the Enterprise category in 2017.
