Riverside
Communications support for the social housing provider

Back in 2008, Riverside Housing Group wanted to undergo a full rebrand. As a social housing provider covering a large proportion of England, it had 52,000 homes across 150 local authorities, over 90,000 customers, and an extensive range of teams, locations, services and programmes… all of which had unique requirements from the core brand.

We were more than happy to get stuck into such a challenging rebrand and developed a core brand and tone of voice, along with a suite of sub brands and a hierarchy to support it all. These sub brands were essential to provide its separate commercial services with an identity and to provide a clearer identity for customer facing services that support individual programmes of delivery.

External brand testing proved there was a 95% approval rate for the copy and tone of voice, with 90% satisfaction with the new brand.

Annual Report was shortlisted for the National Tenant Group annual awards.

Since that initial rebrand, we have worked with Riverside on a whole range of collateral. And, for the first time in the organisation’s history, the introduction of new services and programmes has not created a requirement for a full re-brand; the brand that we developed is robust and flexible enough to accommodate the needs of a demanding and ever-changing organisation.

”It's a pleasure to work with an agency that takes the time to understand your customers, your product and your values to create a brand that is fresh, relevant and valuable. They are easy to work with and are meticulous in their attention to detail. Our recent rebrand roll out was completed on time, to budget and resulted in over 90% of our customers surveyed telling us our new information suite was well designed and easy to understand.”
